Women’s Club Meeting: Wednesday, Jan. 16

Our first meeting of 2019 will take place on Wednesday, January 16 in the Assembly Room. Social time with light refreshments begins at 6:30pm, followed by our meeting which starts at 7:00pm.
We will kick off our meeting with a special guest speaker.
Rebecca Phillips, owner of Home Simplified, will speak on her journey as a designer and mom of four. Rebecca and her husband recently moved into a 2 bedroom house and she will testify to us that decluttering and downsizing has changed her life. She will also share tips and strategies with us on how to be organized and let go of some of our life’s clutter.
We are also collecting new or gently used backpacks, duffle bags and suitcases for the Totes 2 Tots drive. More than 13,000 children, from infants to teenagers, are currently in the foster care system in Georgia. Many of these children shuffle their belongings in garbage bags when they are removed from their homes. The Totes 2 Tots drive gives these kids a backpack or luggage to transport their belongings.
If you are not able to make the meeting on January 16 but have a backpack, duffle bag or suitcase to donate, please drop it off to Felicia in the church office no later than January 16 .
(Note: A couple of weeks ago while at the Burlington store on Buford Highway, there were clearance back packs for $9.99. Not sure if they still have any, but might be worth checking).
Business to be discussed:
  •  Holy Cross Woman of the Year nominations (due Jan. 25)
  •  Women’s Club Scholarship
  •  Upcoming field trip to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
