The Transitus commemorates the completion of St. Francis' earthly life, and his passage through death into eternal life. Each year on the eve of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Franciscans commemorate the passing of this beloved saint at a special prayer service called the Transitus. Please considering joining us for this commemoration of St. Francis’ final moments by praying what is called the “Crown of St. Francis” also known as the Franciscan rosary.
