Faith Formation

Family CatechesisFamily Catechesis is Faith Formation for the whole family at the same time. Pope Francis is encouraging that parents live out the promise they made at their child’s Baptism and accept the role as primary educator of faith with their children.

Family Catechesis is done by entire Families coming together the first Sunday of the month from 10:30-12:30 to share, pray and learn about the faith together.  Over the following three weeks families will have lessons at home that will enrich their families own spirituality.  (Children must be current on Sacraments to participate)  Family Catechesis will also have a family service component. See the Calendar of Classes here.

Family Special Sacraments

If you have a child in 3rd thru 11th grade that needs Baptism  –  Confession  – or First Communion,  then  Family Special Sacraments is for you.   Parents will attend class with their child so that families are learning about and sharing in their faith together.  Once families have completed one year of Faith Formation, Families will then be able to meet with the Faith Formation Office and discern readiness for the Sacraments.

Family Special Sacraments will be offered the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 11:45- 1:00pm  or on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 6:45-8:00pm.   Special Sacrament families must be actively attending Mass. Click here to see the 2018-2019 calendar for Wednesdays and Sundays.
