Prayer Blanket Ministry: The Women’s Club together with parish volunteers, sew prayer blankets to be given to anyone suffering from physical or emotional illness. They also are given to anyone going through a hard time in their life. Prayers are offered up for the blanket recipients as the blankets are being sewn. The blankets are blessed by a priest or a deacon. This ministry began in the summer of 2004 in honor of Holy Cross parishioner and former Woman of the Year, Gwen Stewart. Since then , the Women’s Club has provided around 900 blankets around the world to people in need of prayers. We are in need of people to sew the blankets.
