What is the Eucharist?
The Eucharist is the source and the summit of our Catholic life. Along with Baptism, it is a key to the other Sacraments. Often referred as “communion” the Eucharist is how we encounter Jesus and his real presence within our Catholic community.
First Communion
The Sacrament of First Communion is usually celebrated in the 2nd grade. At HC we offer a free standing program. Children must attend a minimum of one year of Faith Formation or Catholic School in order to be accepted into Sacramental Preparation. Acceptance is based on readiness and Mass participation.
Important: If you have a child in 3rd thru 12th grade that needs First Communion, your family has to attend the Family Special Sacraments program. Click here to find out more about our program.
Adults
Baptized Catholics who have not received First Communion are invited to attend an inquiry session of our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program. Click here to find out when the next session will take place.
